La moda masculina colombiana se apellida Cantillo y esta vez el nombre que Lina puso a su colección primavera verano 2013 fue “portraits” un llamado a la nostalgia y el buen gusto durante Colombiamoda 2012.
Portraits representó las buenas memorias de la barranquillera pero se asoció con los recuerdos de todos los que crecieron con una sensibilidad y emotividad propia de los colombianos. Y es que a través de esa pasarela se evocó al hombre clásico, se habló del hombre actual y se proyectó el futuro del menswear colombiano, teniendo siempre presente elementos autóctonos y modernos interpretados por el sello Cantillo.
La propuesta fue apropiada, entretenida, interesante y aceptada por los presentes. No se puede calificar como atrevida o irreverente pero si apta para todos los que quieran verse bien. La diseñadora propuso a un hombre bohemio pero alineado con el dictamen de la moda masculina internacional. Cantillo afirmó que “Hay que invertir cerebro y corazón; hay que apostarle a lo sensorial y reinventar lo que ya existe en el mundo de las siluetas masculinas.” Una premisa que compartimos, apoyamos y defendemos.
Las texturas en las prendas, los estampados en formas de amebas y flores sedujeron. Los complementos como clutchs, bolsos y zapatos, compuestos principalmente por animal prints, hicieron suspirar a otros. Bien hecho Lina, hay que seguir en la lucha porque hay mucho por hacer, algunas mentes por cambiar, algunos guardaropas por actualizar y en general una cultura de moda masculina por consolidar.

Her collections are inspired by moments of a man´s life in which he becomes the center of the story, playing the role of protagonist and conductive thread. For this, the designer from Barranquilla seeks constant reinvention, playing with textures, colors, and materials to make her clothes, and feeds herself with images, experiences, and feelings that turn on her authentic and innovative creativity.
